SLIDELL?– The St. Tammany Republican Parish Executive Committee (RPEC) installed newly elected members at its March 22 regular meeting, and two vacancies remain to be filled.
RPEC Chairman Peter Egan is asking interested candidates to submit a resume and letter requesting consideration for appointment prior to the RPEC’s next regularly scheduled meeting on April 26.
The vacancies are in Parish Council Districts 12 and 14, both in the Slidell area. Qualified applicants must have been registered Republicans domiciled in the district for at least six months. If no applicants emerge from within the districts, the RPEC may appoint residents of elsewhere in the parish to fill the seats for the remainder of the four-year term.
Anyone who is a qualified resident from St. Tammany Parish should apply now. However, qualified residents of districts 12 and 14 will receive priority consideration. Resumes and letters of interest can be submitted to Egan via email to pegan@eganhealthcare.com.
