‘KSB’ seeking volunteers to clean Slidell Saturday

SLIDELL – The city of Slidell is asking the public to join them again this Saturday, April 30 for one of their two “Cleanup and Beautification Days” in the city.
Sponsored by Keep Slidell Beautiful, the city is asking residents, clubs, civic groups and any organizations to join with them as they host the spring cleanup day that begins at 9 a.m.
The city hosts another cleanup day in the fall and already has over 300 people registered to join in, city representative Melissa Mendoza said.
There will be a free lunch provided when the cleanup concludes at 11:30 p.m. Those signed up should meet at Possum Hollow Park.
Those who sign up will be provided with trash bags, pickup sticks, safety vests and gloves, provided by Keep Slidell Beautiful.
