Maybell Parker, of Slidell, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
She was 87 years old.
She was the wife of the late Octave Parker. She is survived by six children, Ellen Williams, Dianne Ford, Elbert Parker, John (Anita) Parker, and Sandra Navarre, all of Slidell, and Sharon (Dennis) Sylvas of Conroe, Tx. ; sister, Oleander Lester; and brother, Rev. Shovie (Jerelyn) Ducre of Lacombe.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 28 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58023 Hwy. 433 in Slidell.
Visitation will be 9 to 11:00 a.m. Rosary at 10:15 a.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.

Mary Theresa Olsen Flickinger passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
She was 52 years old.
She was born in New Orleans and lived in Slidell for most of her life. Mary graduated from Salmen High School and Phillips Business College. She worked for the Daily Sentry News and Clarion Harold.
She was also owner of Nola Candle Factory. One of Mary’s many passions was art. She loved making jewelry out of polymer clay, painting beautiful designs on shoes, scrollwork and cabinet making. She also loved music; we know she is dancing in heaven now.
Mary is survived by her loving son, Nathan Josef Flickinger and her beloved husband, Josef George Flickinger; mother, Elise Marie Olsen; and preceded in death by her father, Irwin James Olsen, Jr.
She is also survived by her siblings, Sandra; Kathleen; Michael (Sandy); James; Anne; Trina.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd, Slidell, on Saturday, January 28 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, on January 28 from 9:30 until 11 a.m.

Joseph Danna Denapolis, a longtime resident of New Orleans, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017, in Kenner.
He was 76 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Denapolis Sr. and Anna Mae Chaplain; brother, Louis Denapolis Jr.; sister, Marilynn Delaune; and nephew, Louis Denapolis III.
He is survived by one sister, Jacklyn Tortorich; and brother-in-law, Harry Delaune Sr.
A native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, Denapolis graduated from Jesuit High School, attended UNO, and was a longtime manager at Tortorici’s Restaurant in New Orleans. Denapolis was also a volunteer at the World War II Museum in New Orleans.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.
Funeral services will be held at Honaker Funearl Home, Slidell, on Thursday, January 26 at 11:30 a.m.
Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will be in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at 1 p.m
Joyce Elena LeBlanc Engolia, of Slidell, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
She was 84 years old.
She was the wife for 61 years of the late Anthony J. “Tony” Engolia.
She is survived by her sons, Glenn Engolia (Janine), Gary Engolia (Marianne), Gregory Engolia (Denise) and Grady Engolia; grandchildren, Gina Abbas (Ali), Joelle Engolia (Kyle Dunbar), Corey Cochrane, Lori Engolia, Lesley Engolia, Christopher Engolia, Ryan Engolia (Katy) and Blake Engolia; and great-grandchildren, Thomas Rose V and Jayde Engolia.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Walter J. LeBlanc and Sarah H. Peters; step-father, Harold A. Peters; sister, Jean L. Aiello; and grandson, Michael Engolia.
Joyce graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School in New Orleans and in her earlier years was an avid bowler and bridge player. Joyce was born in Mobile, AL and was a resident of Slidell for the past 29 years.
The family would like to thank the staff of Park Provence, Integra Care Medical Staffing, Ochsner Medical Center Northshore, and Passages Hospice for their care and kindness.
A Mass was held on Jan. 21 at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (U.S. Highway 190 West), Slidell.

Chris Jerome Ducote Sr. passed on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017.
He was 64 years old.
He was the widow of Anna B. Ducote, whom passed away in 2004.
He was born in New Rhodes, La. He was the son of Barbara Charles Ducote and Donald J. Ducote. He was brother to three siblings, Donnie, Phyllis and Brenda. He graduated from Southeastern University.
Chris was a man who lived life and made sure to enjoy it. With an unfading love for the water, he spent time sailing the wide open sea, and trolling the back water bayous. Any time spent on the water with friends and family was a good time for him.
Chris’ greatest accomplishment was his children and the things he taught them. He showed them everything he knew from hunting to horseback riding and loved every memory of it.
Chris was survived by Rabecca, his partner in love and life, for 11 years; and children, Barbara Archer Ducote, Bradford Charles Ducote, and Chris Jerome Ducote Jr.
Services were held on Jan. 21 at Honaker Funeral Home.
Dennis Patrick White passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017, in Mandeville, La. of natural causes.
He was 61 years old.
He was born on October 8, 1955 in New Orleans, La. He loved horse racing, having once worked at the New Orleans Fairgrounds. He also loved playing cards and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lurlyn Sbisa White; father, James Nolan White; and brother, Wayne White.
He is survived by nine siblings, Jimmy White, Tommy White, Ronnie White, Bobby White, Gary White, Larry White, Barry White, Linda White and Helen White.
He is survived by three children, Edward Toups, Lindsay White Dugas and Stephanie White; grandchildren, Devan and Matthew Toups, Savannah and Dakota Dugas, and Ayden and Ashtyn Campo.
There was a direct cremation followed by a private memorial service for family and close friends. He was a huge animal lover, so in lieu of flowers, please make all donations to the St. Tammany Human Society.
