DESTREHAN – In their final regular season game, the Northshore Lady Panthers notched another win on their belt with a 3-2 win over the Destrehan Lady Wildcats in a non-district win last Wednesday.
Northshore finishes with a 23-10 record while Destrehan falls to 21-10.
In the first inning, Northshore got back to back doubles by Alyssa West and Mallory Subervielle to put the Panthers up 1-0.
In the fifth inning, Subervielle pounded a two-run homer over the left field wall to score Emily Dubuisson, who had reached on an error.
With Northshore on top 3-0, Destrehan’s Breanna Dominguez reached first on an error by the Panthers and then stole second base.
Panther pitcher Jordan Vivien ran into control problems and loaded the bases with back-to-back walks.
Leadoff batter Gia Zeringue drove in Dominguez with an RBI and an RBI single by Kaela Schiro made it 3-2 as the game ended.
Jordan Vivien got the win for Northshore while Carla Beck took the loss.
Destrehan: Gia Zeringue (1-4, RBI), Carla Beck (1-3), Kaela Schiro (1-3, RBI).
Northshore: Mallory Subervielle (3-3, 3 RBIs), Alyssa West (2-4).
