Samuel R. Navarro, age 19, of Lacombe, LA, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
Born in Slidell, he graduated in the top 5 percent of his class at Slidell High in 2020, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and National Beta Club.
He was a student at the University of Southern Mississippi, where he majored in Architecture, while he was employed in Slidell at Counter Culture.
Velma Brooks Heitzmann, age 88, of Pearl River, LA, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
A native of Winnsboro, LA, she loved traveling and had made it to 48 states. She was also an avid reader, devoted to her faith, and loved playing cards and dominos.
Susie Oulliber Harbour, age 55, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
A native of New Orleans, she was a longtime resident of Slidell who graduated from Pope John Paul High School in Slidell in 1984.
She was a former employee for the Slidell Sentry-News.
Mary Pauline Darcy Dognibene, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
A native of New Orleans, she earned a diploma from the Henry W. Allen Girls School of Commerce in 1937, then went to work for the U.S. Treasure Department.
She later continued employment with the Federal Communication Commission and retired after 40 years.
She traveled the globe to numerous other countries, living the past 27 years in Slidell where she was a member of the National Federation of Republican Women, and the Coin du Lestin Garden Club.
