TAMIA ‘TAMMY’ CHUTZ GUENARD
Tamia “Tammy” Chutz Guenard, a longtime resident of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on June 11, 2022 at the age of 74.
She is a native of Sumter, South Carolina, born on June 24, 1947 to her loving parents, the late Murphy Chutz and Dorothy Green Chutz. Tammy is the beloved mother of Melissa Thomas and Christopher Guenard; proud grandmother of Brandon Welch, Chase Thomas, and Chandler Thomas; great-grandmother of Jaxon H. Welch; cherished sister of Mila Chutz Gernon; and caring aunt of Clark Gernon Jr. She is also survived by many friends and extended family members whom she loved deeply.
Tammy graduated from Slidell High School with the Class of 1966. She devoted many years to her career as an EMT, also serving as supervisor over New Orleans Health Department EMS communications. Tammy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Slidell. A funeral service will begin at noon. Burial to take place at a later date.

BARBARA CANNON FUNCK
Barbara Cannon Funck, of Slidell, passed away at the age of 86 on May 27, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Funck Sr, Mother and Father, Marten and Theresa Cannon, brothers Ray and Frank Cannon, sister, Rose Forson and daughters, Debbie Landreneau and Julie Chadwick.
Survived by sister Joy, son, Sidney Funck Jr (Gale) and 2 grandchildren, Erica Shipp and Joshua Funck. Also 3 great grandchildren.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date.

Ismael Alonzo Atilano, age 92, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
A native of San Angelo, TX, he attended Wall High School in Texas and had a career as a cement mason.
He enjoyed going to the racetrack, playing golf and enjoyed Ranchero music and dance.
Abdulla Mark Ahmed, age 69, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, after a lengthy illness.
Born in New Orleans, he graduated from Brother Martin High School and was the first multi-cultural student to graduate in 1970.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was later an employee of Texaco Exploration and Production for 35 years until his retirement.
He enjoyed motorcycles, cars, watching westerns and music, especially the 70s hits.

Lillian Linda Scogin Carbo, age 80, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022.
A native and lifelong resident of Slidell, she was a 1960 graduate of Slidell High and attended Spencer Business College.
Edith Potter Holley, age 90, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
Born in Fort Necessity, LA, she moved to New Orleans in 1959 before moving to Slidell, where she was a longtime resident.
She met her husband at the Comet Skating Rink in Lacombe, and was a homemaker who volunteered with the Girl Scouts, the PTA and later with the Apple Pie Ridge Homemaker’s Club where she served as vice-president. She was also an active member with the Slidell Garden Club.
Madlyn G. Justice, age 80, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022.
Born in Germany, she came to the United States in 1965 and resided in Slidell since 1981.
She was an avid painter in her spare time.
Floresha Gjino, age 72, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
A native of Albania before moving to Slidell, she was a homemaker most of her life.
