Whitney Kay Jolliff, age 42, of New Orleans, LA, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 following a brief, but hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Jonesboro, AR, she was raised in Slidell and graduated from Northshore High School.
She attended LSU and earned a degree in General Studies and ran a successful business as a party promoter as a teenager, bringing world-renowned dance music artists to New Orleans.
She later worked in catering and launched a noodle pop-up, besides working at Budsi’s Authentic Thai.

Peter Lester Betz, Sr., age 87, of Lacombe, LA, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
A native of New Orleans, he was employed with IUOE Local 406 as a heavy equipment operator. He was a jack-of-all-trades who could repair anything.
He enjoyed going to the casinos and was an avid Saints and LSU baseball fan.

Patricia K. Smith, age 78, of Pearl River, LA, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
A longtime resident of Pearl River and Slidell, she previously lived in San Diego, CA, and Jacksonville, NC.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and longtime member of the bell choir. She was an animal lover who adopted many during her lifetime.

Barbara Ann Palmisano Kirkpatrick, age 88, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
She was a homemaker who loved cooking, traveling the world and spending time at the casinos and on the golf course.

William Clement Byrnes, III, age 70, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.

Patricia “Pat” Murphy Tyler, age 79, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
Born in Cleveland, OH, she retired from teaching at Slidell Junior High in 2001.
She volunteered for over 20 years at the Good Samarian’s Ministry at St. Luke Church, where she was a parishioner for 38 years.

Ann Inez Fife Cognevich, age 73, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
Born in Memphis, TN, she resided in Slidell for the past 30 years and was a member of First Methodist Church of Slidell.
She loved music, dancing, coffee and cooking.
