GISELA M. BLACK
Gisela M. Black, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on September 5, 2022, at the age of 79. She was born on April 24, 1943, in Oppenau, Germany, to her loving parents, the late Alfred Martin and Georgina Fritz Martin. Gisela is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 39 years, Major James E. Black. She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her four children, Birgit Sink, Debra Trahan, Richard Black, and Theresa Sehlinger; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Cynthia, Allyssia, Tessa, Nathan, Jana, Danelle, and Paul; one brother, Hans Martin; 16 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends whom she loved dearly.
Gisela attended high school in her hometown of Oppenau, Germany. She had a career as a graphic designer with Stennis Space Center and was also employed with Winn Dixie for 11 years. Gisela will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Gisela will be laid to rest at a graveside service in the Biloxi National Cemetery on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital are preferred. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
MOSELLE JOSEPH WILLIAMS
Moselle Joseph Williams son of the late Gabriel and Cora Williams was born on September 25, 1937 in Lacombe, LA. He entered into eternal rest on September 6, 2022.
On August 13, 1960, Moselle was united in holy matrimony to Christine Yvonne Ordone. From this union three children were born: Jeanne, Richard, and Gary.
Moselle attended Martindale School in Lacombe, LA. He was employed as a St. Tammy School bus driver as well as having his own self-employed hauling business. He retired from driving bus and his self-employed business.
Moselle was a lifelong member of sacred Heart Catholic Church. He belonged to various organizations: Progressive Men’s Club, Rackmen’s Hunting Club, founding members of Krew of Chata, Men of Our Town. Also, he belonged to the Chamber of Commerce and Democratic Committee.
His hobbies included; casino trips, deer hunting trips to Alabama and Winnfield, LA., camping, Louisiana lottery, shooting pool, and playing cards with family and friends. And let’s not forget his personal pets which included: his horse, dogs, cattle, and goats. Moselle was a Saints fan.
Moselle was preceded in death by his parents: Gabriel and Cora Lee Williams; brother, Alex Batiste; sisters-in-law: Barbara Burns and Linda Williams; brothers-in-law: John Ordone, Herrin Ordone, and Money Johnson; niece, Regina Batiste; nephew, Alex Batiste, Jr.
Moselle leaves to cherish his memories; his wife of sixty-two years, Christine Yvonne Williams; daughter, Jeanne Doyle (Joseph Jr.); sons: Richard Williams (Darling) and Gary Williams; five grandchildren: Jessica, Kamal, Juan, Blake, and Allison; nine great grandchildren: Chandler, Aaliyah, Kamiya, Ayrielle, K‘Lynn, Brooklyn, Breelyn, Bria, and Karsen; one aunt, Mary Williams; sisters: Irma Jean Mims, and Delphine Johnson; brothers: Gilbert, Estervan, Abraham (Lorraine), and Howard (Mary); and a host of relatives and friends.

Linda Dirden Laughery, age 74, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022.
A native of Belleville, IL, she spent her professional life as a bookkeeper working for Crosby Development in Metairie and Gandy Communities in Cornelius, NC.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Slidell.
Lennie L. Dill, age 70, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022.
A native of New Orleans, he graduated from Picayune High School and studied at United Electronics Institute in Birmingham, AL.
He worked for Honeywell International, and then Oracle Corporation as a senior field engineer, retiring in 2016 with 37 years of service.
A resident of Slidell since 1995, he enjoyed cooking, grilling and watching vintage TV shows.
Raymond Joseph “Joe” Bradley, age 89, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.
Born in Twin Rocks, PA, he served in the U.S. Army, then moved to Pontiac, MI, where he worked for Chrysler. That company moved him to Italy and then to Turkey before coming back to the U.S. where he worked on the U.S. Space Shuttle missions, as well as the Saturn V rocket booster.
He excelled in sports and was an avid hunter and fisherman, as well as a devout Catholic who was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary and St. Luke.
Kevin Paul Romain, age 53, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022, after a brave fight against brain cancer that lasted 18 months.
Born in Lutcher, LA, he resided in Reserve for 18 years before serving for 26 years with the U.S. Navy, retiring as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate Senior Chief Petty Officer.
He later worked with Fleet Readiness Center and was a dedicated Christian.
Sheri Reyne Wilkes, age 57, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, after a long battle with Myasthenia Gravis.
A native of New Orleans and a resident of Slidell since 1977, she was a graduate of Salmen High and member of Northside Baptist Church.
She was a volunteer at Greenbriar Nursing Home and loved to go to the library where she was an avid reader.
Paulean Taylor Flanagan, age 92, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022.
A native of Harrisville, MS, she was a former resident of New Orleans and resided in Slidell for the past 35 years.
William E. Remmenga, age 72, of Lacombe, LA, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
Born in Minden, NE, he joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam on a helicopter crew. After his military service, he worked in construction in many locations around the world.
