CURTIS LEE MCKEAN JR.
Curtis Lee McKean, Jr. 83, was born on August 19, 1939 in Slidell LA, to Curtis Lee Sr. and Eula Mae McKean. He passed into the arms of his greatest love, his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ September 20, 2022.
He could be seen daily studying his Bible and always had the New Testament in his pocket. He was active at Lyona Bible Church, especially the Men’s Bible Study, WWII and Civil War Round Tables in PA where he resided.
He graduated from West Jefferson High School in Harvey, LA. After graduation he joined the US Air Force and was in the Strategic Air Command, maintaining B52’s.
After leaving the Air Force, he worked at Mars Candies and Xerox. He retired from Lockheed Martin as an electrician.
He leaves behind his wife, Elma of Centerville, PA (2011 to present). He was married to Kathryn A. McKean of Slidell, LA (1962-1989); two children, Kerry M. Touchet (Johnny) of SC and Brandon W. McKean (Bridgett) of Slidell; several step children of PA; 7 grandchildren, Sara Chandrasekharan (Natraj), Rachel Touchet, Gerry-Ann Bates, Savannah Touchet, Hannah E. Touchet, Jonathan Touchet, James “Joe” Touchet of SC; 2 great-grandchildren, Simon Bates and Henry S. Bates and many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jacquelyn McKean of Greensburg, LA, and Patricia Malbrough (Cliff) of Lafayette, LA as well as nieces and a nephew.
A memorial was held at the Lyona Bible Church, Guys Mills, PA on Saturday, September 24 at 11:30 a.m. He is interred at Riceville Cemetery, Centerville, PA.

DOROTHY DALE ROBERTSON KASTNER
Dorothy Dale Robertson Kastner, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2022, while surrounded by her loved ones.
Dorothy was born on April 19, 1937 to James and Dorothy Weaver Robertson in Monroe, Louisiana. She was a dedicated mother who treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as grandmother. She had a vivacious personality, never shy, always making people around her laugh, while making friends everywhere she went. You could find her at social events including many music and food festivals, or at the Superdome cheering on her Saints.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Robertson; her husband, Karl Raimond Kastner, Sr.; her beloved step-son, Karl Raimond Kastner Jr.; great-granddaughter, Harleigh Renee Fleming; and seven siblings.
She is survived by three children, Tanya Renee Kastner Witchen (Jim), Raimond Andrew “Andy” Kastner (Lisa), Ronny Dwayne Kastner (Sheri); eight grandchildren, Chelsea Witchen Fleming, Morgan Kastner Almeida, Aaron Kastner, Haley Kastner, Brittany Kastner, Faith Kastner, Lindsay Kastner LeBlanc, Karli Kastner Gaubert; four great grandchildren, Colby Fleming, Matthew Leblanc, Hunter Gaubert and Lena Gaubert; daughter-in-law, Debra Burns Kastner; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460 on Thursday, September 29, 2022.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon followed by funeral service at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

LINDA DIRDEN LAUGHERY
Linda Dirden Laughery, 74, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years David William Laughery Jr.; stepdaughter, Linda Holland (Daryl) of McCall Creek, Mississippi; stepson Michael Laughery (Dinah) of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph P. & Virginia Lucas Dirden, as well as her daughter Kimberly L. Allwes, and son Scott J. Laughery.
A native of Belleville, Illinois. Linda spent her professional life as a bookkeeper working for Crosby Development in Metairie, LA., and Gandy Communities in Cornelius, NC. Linda was also a member of 1st. United Methodist Church of Slidell.
Relatives and friends of the family attended a memorial service at Honaker Funeral Home with Rev. John Gilmore, officiating.

Robert Imbraguglio, age 73, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
Born in Bayreuth, Germany, he served during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army, and was an expert rifleman who earned numerous recognitions during his service time. Among them was the two bronze service stars.
He later worked for L&N/CSX Railroad until retiring and enjoyed coaching girls and boys softball and baseball for many years.
He was a big fan of antique car shows, fishing and hunting, and was an avid fan of the Saints and LSU.

Genevieve “Gen” Janice Faciane Kennedy, age 86, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022.
Born in Slidell, she graduated from Slidell High in 1953, she was an accomplished artist who opened her own studio in Clovis, NM.
She was involved in Slidell with the St. Genevieve’s Altar Society, the Homemaker’s Club, the Bayou Liberty Garden Club, the Mardi Gras Coast Club and was a maid for the Krewe of Selene.
Catherine Billie Jean Newbill Giordano, age 88, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, after fighting an illness for the past two years.
Born in Panama City, FL, she became a lifelong resident of Slidell and was active in many social activities. She was involved with the Slidell Women’s Civic Club, the Krewe of Slidellians, the Delta Chi & Xi Gamma Lambda chapters of Beta Sigma Phil Sorority and the Wives of the Sons of Italy.
Hope Stewart Crockett, age 73, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, after a lengthy illness.
Born in New Orleans, she attended all her school years in Slidell, graduating from Slidell High in 1967.
She was the owner of Hope Crockett Photography, was amazingly artistic and creative, and had a great love for Mardi Gras.
Nancy Ann Clark, age 79, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022.
A native of Lexington, KY, she was a longtime resident of Slidell and enjoyed Girl Scouts, singing in her church choir, fishing and riding horses.
After attending the University of Kentucky, she had a career that led to a position as Home Healthcare provider for Hospice.
