James Adrian “A.J.” Jones, Jr., age 35, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022.
A native of Slidell, he had outstanding artistic talent, especially as a guitar player with a deep love for music.
He also had a love for historical and present-day trivia.
James Thomas Fowlkes, age 90, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Born in Memphis, TN, he lived in Houston, TX, and attended the University of Houston, graduating with a degree in Petroleum and Chemical Engineering, where he had a lengthy career in the oil and gas industry.
He loved telling jokes and interesting stories, and traveled extensively, as well as having a love to dance.
Carl Edward Quinn, Jr., age 75, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022.
Born in Columbus, OH, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and was deployed to Vietnam, where he earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
He later earned a degree in Welding Engineering from Ohio State and then a Master’s in Aeronautical Systems from West Florida.
He was commissioned as an officer in the Marine Corps and served as a Marine Corp Aviator, serving 25 total years before retiring with the rank of Major.
