PATRICIA ‘PATTY’ ANN COCRAN
Patricia (Patty) Ann Cocran, passed away on February 6, 2023, at the age of 65. She was a life long native of Slidell, LA.
Patty led a full, beautiful and meaningful life surrounded by family and friends that loved her. She is preceded in death by her father, Emmet Roland Cocran, and mother Edith H. Cocran. Patty is survived by her brothers Emmett, Brent, Frank (Starr) and Eric (Trish) and sister Cindy (Dan). She is missed by her nieces and nephews Ryan(Samantha), Jennifer, Megan and Glynn.
Patty was a member of First Baptist of Slidell. She attended S.T.A.R.C. before retiring. Patty enjoyed painting, with some of her paintings displayed around Slidell. Her favorite activities included socializing, music, tea parties, books, bibles, and markers. Patty was a friend to all. She will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist of Slidell, 4141 Pontchartrain Dr. Slidell, LA. on March 3, 2023. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with a memorial service following at 11 a.m.
EDMUND ‘EDDIE’ CHARLES CONNETTI
Edmund “Eddie” Charles Connetti, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on February 22, 2023 at the age of 61.
He was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on August 31, 1961 to his loving parents, Arlen Connetti and Marlene Cabiran Connetti. Eddie is the beloved husband of Kandi Farmer Connetti; cherished father of Patrice Marie Connetti; caring brother of Arlene Connetti Jones (Claude, Jr.); adored uncle of Claude Jones III (Jenny) and Christopher Jones (Lark); proud grandfather of Kaeley Amy Burlett; and revered great-uncle to Owen, Macie, Ada Laurel, and Jack.
He also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends.
Eddie graduated from Holy Cross High School with the Class of 1979. He was formerly employed with South Central Bell and Bunny Bread. Eddie bravely served as a firefighter with St. Tammany Parish Fire District #1 for 19 years. He was an excellent cook and avid football fan. Eddie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. Patrick James Armand, Jr., age 63, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
He was a teacher and coach at Clearwood Junior High for 20 years.
Melva J. Wallace Mitchell, age 84, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023.
Born in Frankston, TX, she traveled through all 48 lower states in the U.S. with her husband who was in the oil business, finally settling in Slidell in 1969.
She was an avid collector of antique china, glassware and figurines and loved reading novels and traveling in an RV.
Mary Adine Horridge Kramer, age 88, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023.
A native of New Orleans, she worked at the Chrysler Corporation and went on to retire from the Michoud Assembly facility.
She loved gardening and painting oil canvases.
James Allen Richards, age 85, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
He was born in Nashville, IL.
Jean Lacour Gremillion, age 88, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
A native of New Orleans, she moved to Slidell in 1982 and was a longtime volunteer at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
She worked at BellSouth until retiring with the company.
George Michael “Grump” Frichter, III, age 86, of Pearl River, LA, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
Born in New Orleans, he served in the U.S. Army who later became a successful businessman with retail stores all along the gulf Coast.
He was a generous supporter of civic groups such as St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and had a strong faith. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

John Henry Haslauer, age 82, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
A native of New Orleans, he earned an accounting degree from UNO and worked as a CPA. He worked as a criminal investigator with the IRS, then with the National Finance Center at the Dept. of Agriculture, retiring as chief of management staff.
He was a devout Catholic and parishioner at St. Luke Church, and an avid sports fan who played tennis and enjoyed woodworking.
Cathy Decker Boehm, age 71, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
A native of Boston, MA, she was owner of Cathy Boehm Tax Service.
She loved New Orleans, attending Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras, and enjoyed traveling in her spare time.
Yvonne Bagby Atkins, age 88, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023.
A native of Atlanta, GA, she resided in Kenner and Carriere, MS, before moving to Slidell.
She graduated from Harrison-Draughon School and received a Business Secretarial degree, then began a long career with Delta Airlines. She became the first female Executive Vice President of the New Orleans ticket office.
She was an animal lover and also enjoyed traveling in her spare time.
Greer Elice Nordgren, age 58, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
Born in Houston, TX, she had a career in management in the hospitality industry. She was a foodie who enjoyed crafting and playing bingo.
Jane Hickman Calhoun, age 73, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
She was a native of New Orleans who enjoyed gardening in her spare time. She had a love for frogs.
