HAROLD J. ‘SAMBO’ SEGHERS SR.
Harold J. “Sambo” Seghers, Sr., age 86, of Lacombe, La. passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023.
He worked 32 years for Slidell Computer Center. He was part of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon. Harold made desktop clocks, liked to fish and watch the birds in his yard.
He is survived by four children, Walter Lamousin, Cheryl McIntosh (Mac), Harold Seghers, Jr. (Kim), and Tamie Lewis (Slade). Harold is also survived by seven grandchildren, Joshua, Stacie, Erika, Nathan, Ryan, Amanda, & Hannah and three great-grandchildren, Claire, Alyson, Emma and one on the way.
Preceded in death by his wife, Charlene “Patty” Seghers, his parents, Charles & Ivy Seghers, a sister, Dorothy Ussery and three brothers, Charles Seghers, Jr., Walter Seghers and Bernard Seghers.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River, La.

Ramon Jesus Cano, age 92, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023.
A native of Guatemala City, Guatemala and a longtime resident of New Orleans since 1959, before moving to Slidell in 2005.
He was a parishioner of St. Gabriel the Archangel and later at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, where he had a devout faith to the Lord.
Lynne McGinnis “Granny” Kelly, age 86, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023.
She was a resident of Slidell for the past 35 years and a retiree of Slidell Memorial Hospital.
Joyce Ann Hebert Fassbender, age 72, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023.
She was an avid Saints and LSU fan and loved to dance and listen to music.
She had a special love for all animals, even the squirrels, birds and ducks in the park or her yard.
Joseph “Joe” Eugene Dubuisson, Jr., age 80, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023.
A lifelong resident of Slidell, he graduated from Slidell High in 1961 and entered the U.S. Air Force.
He was a lifelong member of the Woodmen of the World and served many years on the Dubuisson Cemetery Committee. He had a special place in his heart for STARC and was an avid fisherman.
He also was a writer for Marsh and Bayou Magazine, leading him to publish a book, “Back in the Old Days.”
Pansy Lou “Granny” Bradley Nelson, age 91, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
Born in Augusta, KS, she considered herself to be a transplanted “Coon Ass” after moving to Louisiana in 1960. She was employed by Boeing and at Stennis Space Center and retired from the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office in the early 2000s.
She loved football, parades, camping, water skiing, traveling, shows, needle point, felt stocking kits, crafts, and gathering of all kinds.

Lawrence Erbin Talley, age 79, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023.
A native of New Orleans, he graduated from Whitehaven High School in Tennessee in 1961 and attended Delta State University. He had a career as a rotating equipment engineer and was also employed with Elliott Turbomachinery and G.E. Plastics in Mount Vernon, IN.
Paul L. Loftus, age 52, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023.
A native of Parker, FL, he graduated from Southern Mississippi with a degree in construction management and was employed with Woodward Design+Build.
He loved riding motorcycles in his spare time.
Barbara Alison Harrison, age 79, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she attended Southeastern and retired after teaching third grade at Alton Elementary in Slidell, followed by five years at Head Start.
She coached soccer and started the first girls’ team at Pope John Paul High School. She was a member of the Carmelite’s Third Order and a Court Appointed Special Advocate.
Michael R. Reames, Sr., age 75, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.
A native of Shreveport, LA, he graduated from Warren Easton High School and served in the U.S. Navy.
He was an employee at AT&T for 35 years.
Thomas Edward Ogg, age 88, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
A native of Reno, NV, he graduated from Reno High School in 1952 and earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Nevada Reno, going on to a career as an educational administrator.
He served in the Air National Guard United States Air Force and after retirement, enjoyed collecting antiques.
Lt. Col. Timothy E. Hoehn, age 62, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
Born in Memphis, TN, he graduated from Christian Brothers High School and earned a Political Science degree from Tennessee.
He served with the U.S. Marine Corps, being deployed to the Gulf War and the War On Terrorism. He received many military honors, including the Bronze Star.
After the service, he was a JROTC instructor at Gulfport High, and in his spare time was a passionate football fan, still loyal to the Tennessee Vols. He also enjoyed woodworking and fishing.
