SLIDELL — Pope John Paul won a big district game with a 4-3 victory over Northlake Christian (10-12, 0-2) on the road.
Leading the offense for PJP (5-10, 2-0) was Chris Roberson, who went 2-for-3, and also picked up the win by giving up just one earned run and striking out two in five innings.
Pope John Paul will take the field again today against Pine on the road.
