SLIDELL — It was business as usual for the Northshore Lady Panthers volleyball team as they handed the Covington Lady Lions a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-12, 25-10).
The Panthers remain undefeated in tough District 4-I with a 7-0 mark. Overall, Northshore climbs to 17-6 for the season.
Covington slips to 5-16 overall and 0-7 in league play.
“I thought the team adjusted well to some changes made prior to the match. We had a lot of young players stepping in and up for tonight’s match against Covington,” Northshore coach Danny Davis said.
Having outstanding games for the Lady Panthers were Carly Merry with 10 kills and nine digs. Sabrina Buelle and Kristin Fogan collected eight and seven digs respectively.
Caitlin Epperson had two blocks, Amanda Giardina had seven kills and Jenna Schmidt had three aces.
Leading the way for Northshore was Hannah Epperley with two blocks and 24 assists.
