SLIDELL — It’s not Halloween yet but the Franklinton Demons played an early trick on Salmen taking a 44-10 win over the Spartans in a District 8-4A meeting.
Franklinton scored in all four quarters while Salmen scored in only the second quarter.
Demon quarterback Michael Wilson led the attack going 7-of-11 for 135 yards in the air.
A number of Demon players got in on the action.
Thaj Magee ran four times for 100 yards and a touchdown while Azende Magee carried the ball 21 times for 155 yards and two touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
Tavion Partman carried 14 yards on three carries for a touchdown and Re’lik Wilson rounded out the scoring with a touchdown.
The Demons rushed for 323 yards and 135 in the air for 458 total yards.
The Spartan scoring took place in the second quarter with a Johnny Lowery touchdown and a 29-yard field goal by L.J. Leonard.
Salmen (1-6, 1-1) looks to rebound in a home game against East Jefferson who is coming off of a 55-0 win over Pearl River in a district game.
