SLIDELL – Irene Laff loves her animals, so when one went missing, the Slidell resident felt devastated.
“Snitz” or “Snitzel” went missing six weeks ago, and was last seen running behind the Rainbow Daycare towards Voters Road in the Kingspoint Subdivision. He is 12 years old.
“I love that dog so much and just want to see him again,” Irene, who is in her 70s, said through tears.
The local citizen is originally from Chicago, Ill., but moved here with her husband after Hurricane Katrina. She has always been a fan of animals with all of her previous pets coming from the local animal shelter. Recently, though, two of her dogs died, leaving her with Snitz, who most recently ran way. One of her past dogs lived to old age being 17 before passing away of natural causes, and the other being in his teens as well.
During the time frame of those two pets passing away, her husband passed away as well. She now has two other dogs in her home since her husband’s passing, but is missing her third pet, Snitz, is a Dachsund mix, tan in color, and a male with short hair. He has tags on his collar, and weighs 27 pounds.
There is a reward for this dog, and if seen, please call 985-643-8347 or 504-237-8387.
