SLIDELL — The Northshore Panthers continued their run for the District 4-I title with an easy 3-0 sweep of the Hammond Tors 25-10, 25-11, 25-14 improving their overall record to 24-11 and 9-1 in district play.
The Panthers had their eyes set on a huge district home game against Mandeville which will decide the 4-I title.
Commenting on the Hammond game, Northshore coach Danny Davis was pleased with the win saying, “I thought the players did a great job of staying focused and playing as well as they did with all the homecoming stuff going on at school.”
Several of the Lady Panthers had fine nights. Kristin Fogan had nine digs while Caitlin Epperson had nine kills and Annelise Vollenweider had seven. Carly Merry pounded six aces with Vollenweider getting four. Hannah Epperley led the Northshore offense with 22 assists.
