SLIDELL — In a back and forth game, the Hahnville Lady Tigers ended a non-district game against Northshore by scoring the final 15 points to win 36-22 last Saturday in the Haynes Academy Tournament.
Northshore led 22-21 after Sarah Ogbomah hit a jumper late in the third quarter, before Hahnville’s game-ending rally.
Hahnville’s Janet Marshall scored a team-high 14 points and was too much to handle inside.
For Northshore, Sydney Houlemard led with 13 points, three steals and four rebounds. Ogbomah had seven points and eight rebounds and Gianna Castaneda had two points.
NS vs. Haynes
In their second match, Northshore fell 46-41 in overtime against Haynes.
Northshore led at the half by a slim 19-18 but a disastrous second half led to their loss as the Lady Panthers were outscored 21-6.
Northshore’s Sydney Houlemard led all scorers with 19 points, seven rebounds, seven steals and two assists.
Also scoring for the Panthers were Sarah Ogbomah with 10 points and seven rebounds, Cayla Klepfer with six points and six rebounds and Gianna Castaneda with six points, two steals and two assists.
NS vs. Lakeshore
In their final game of the tournament, Northshore fell to the Lakeshore Lady Titans 45-37.
Northshore led at the half 27-25 but the third quarter turned out to be the difference as the Lady Titans outscored the Lady Panthers 19-3 to pull away.
Also scoring for Lakeshore were Kenyetta Allen with eight, Victoria Ross with seven and Paige Hulin hitting six.
Northshore’s Sydney Houlemard led all scorers with 23.
Raquel Davis led the Titans with 13 points and Julia Dean adding 11 points.
