SLIDELL – Pope John Paul II’s Lady Jaguars have repeated as the Northshore Interscholastic Tennis Association champion for the second straight year with an unblemished 10-0 record.
In the last matches of the regular season, Pope John Paul won 4-1 over Archbishop Hannan for both girls and boys contests.
A lot of good points and long rallies took place on both sides during the event, and was a very equal match for many lines.
Boys
#1 Singles — Hannan’s Blake Powers defeated Henry Calamari 2-6, 6-4, (10-2)
#2 Singles – PJP’s Michael Condon def. Ethan DiMartino 6-1, 6-1
#1 Doubles – PJP’s Nathan Swalley and Jon Leonard defeated Ethan Farrow and Beau Goodreaux 6-1, 2-6 (10-7)
#2 Doubles – PJP’s Zach Gressaffa and Tyler Hoggatt defeated Abhi Karagala and?Josh Aufrecht 6-1, 6-2
#3 Doubles – PJP’s Ian McManus and Patrick Champagne defeated Ethan Ovella and Cole Bartlett 6-2, 6-4

#1 Singles – PJP’s Ashley Calamari def. Mary Claire Gianolini 6-3, 7-5
#2 Singles – PJP’s Victoria Calamari def. Kaitlyn Richards 6-1, 6-1
#1 Doubles – PJP’s Annamarie Wingerter and Abby Estopinal defeated Elise Erickson and Nia Perkins 6-3, 2-6 (10-8)
#2 Doubles – Hannan’s Sophie Loeb and Lauren Burke defeated Katie Fradella and Olivia Csaki 6-3, 6-0
#3 Doubles – PJP’s Rylee Lusich and Karli Bayhi defeated Emily Texada and Katherine Leaker 6-0, 6-1
