NOREEN DEBLANC
1. Why do you believe you are the best person for this position?
Over 20 years volunteering in our communities, attending parish council and zoning meetings under the leadership training of Chief Elwin Warhorse Gillum, Chahta Tribe and Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Civil Rights Leader. Witnessing favor to outside developers instead of our residents like the Honey Bee project, who are voiceless, I want to be a voice for the voiceless.
2. How do you plan to force the Library Board to change current actions and make decisions according to St. Tammany community standards?
As a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, parents should have the authority to make the decision for their minor children. The laws are set, any sexually explicit pedophilia or pornography should be locked up. We should continue to work toward the safety of our children.
3. What do you see as the most important problem that needs solving in this parish?
Our government agencies working together with respect to identify the needs and barriers our citizens face like infrastructure in all communities. Not new developers and investors in high density areas.
4. What will be your approach to fix the financial crisis facing the parish?
Review current financial status and collaborate with local, state and federal agencies to identify means that would assist in a solution.
