The second flight’s score goes according to net score, which includes each golfer’s handicap. At Oak Harbor the first day, Gentile shot a 65, which was the lowest of the day at the difficult course. Neil McKinney followed in close second with a 67, and Joseph Lindsay was in third after shooting a 69.
After the second day of 18 holes at Pinewood, Gentile shot a 70 to give him a 135 total score. However, Patrick Black emerged as the new leader after hitting an incredible 59 for his round at Pinewood. Black was leading with a 129 overall score.
Following close behind after the second day was McKinney with a 138 total (71 at Pinewood), and Lindsey with a 140 (71 at Pinewood).
Heading into the final day with things coming down to the wire, Gentile stayed calm and collect by shooting the lowest round of all 11 golfers with a 67 at Royal. Bruce Desselle shot a 69 at Royal, but finished with a final score of 217.
Coming in a close second place was Black with a final of 203. He shot a 74 on last day.
