Titans top Tigers

SLIDELL – Despite the cold weather last week, the Lakeshore Titans (1-1) bats were on fire as they put together nine hits to take a 6-5 win over the Slidell Tigers (1-2) in a non-district encounter.
For Lakeshore, Mark Nicholson had an RBI double and Nathan Faciane contributed an RBI single. Tyler Singletary was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Cody Doucette was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Mitchell Meja also had two hits, and Zach Bergeron had a double.
Titan starter Collin Wilkins posted the win going six innings and striking out four while allowing only six hits and no walks. Singletary was credited with the save striking out one and issuing no walks.
For Slidell, Parker Autry and Jonathan Elkins were each 2-for-3. Tyler McManus had an RBI single, and Gavin Amedeo and Spencer Cayten each had a hit.
Dylan Smith pitched four innings, striking out three and allowing seven hits. Devan Adams was tagged with the loss striking out five while only allowing two hits and a walk.
