Slidell beaten by Curtis

SLIDELL – The John Curtis Patriots used a huge second and third inning to score a combined 11 runs to take a 15-4 win over the Slidell Tigers.
Kyle Burns pitched four innings to collect the win allowing only one hit while walking one and striking out four. Austen Haensel threw the final three innings posting two strikeouts while walking three and allowing one hit and four runs.
Slidell’s Ethan Samrow, Tyler McManus, and Luke Toups combined for six strike outs.
For the Patriots, Jacob Bordelon was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, Mason Matherne went 2-for-5 with four RBIs and Myles Washington got one hit for two RBIs.
Parker Autry and Gaven Amedeo had Slidell’s only two hits. Saige Watkins, Spencer Cayten and McManus each had an RBI for the Tigers.
