SLIDELL — The 2015 softball postseason got underway Tuesday evening, and all three of the local squads competing in the tournament suffered defeats.
The Northshore Lady Panthers held the lead late in their contest against Walker, but the Lady Kats scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to pull out a 4-3 victory.
Meanwhile, the Pope John Lady Jaguars put up a strong fight against Opelousas Catholic, but came up just short in a 6-4 contest.
The Pearl River Lady Rebels also made it to the postseason tournament, but ended up being eliminated as well. Pearl River was on the road to take on Teurlings Catholic, and dropped a 12-1 decision.
